The Running Mon Marina and Resort, which was awarded a four star rating, was built in 1990 and renovated in 2000. The Running Mon has become known as the ?small treasure of the Bahamas? and rightfully so. This popular vacation spot, located on Grand Bahama Island, is only a 40 minute plane ride from Miami. The Running Mon Resort and Marine has become Grand Bahama's newest port of entry.

The Running Mon Resort features 31 beautiful refurbished rooms. Each room is tastefully decorated in a style unique to the Caribbean culture. All rooms have air-condition, heat, cable TV, a refrigerator, coffee machine and ironing board. For vacationers looking for a little more room the Admiral Suite is available as well. It is never hard to find something to do in and around Running Mon Resort and Marina. Vacationers can cool off in the fresh water pool and enjoy tasty tropical drinks from the poolside bar. A shuttle boat service is available to take sun bums to a beach located 200 yards away from the resort. For those who enjoy water sports, fishing boats and wave runners can be rented. Rent a bicycle or motor bike and spend the day exploring the island. Play a round of golf at an 18 hole Champion Golf Course or test the slots at the casino at the Resort at Bahamian. Grand Bahama Scuba is located only five minutes away from the Running Mon Resort and Marina. This dive center provides courses such as Intro to Scuba, Open Water Certification, Stress Rescue Courses and many more. New and junior courses are available for children 8-15 years old. Dive sites include: shallow reef, deep reef, shark dives, ship wreck dives and caves. Grand Bahama Scuba allows guests to get the most fun and enjoyment out of their vacation as possible.

Running Mon Resort is also home to the new Mainsail Restaurant. Capable of seating more than 150 vacationers, the Mainsail offers a wide variety of American, Bahamian and European cuisine. The Marina at Running Mon

In addition to the resort, the Running Mon also features a 70 slip marina. Each slip is able to accommodate yachts up to 110 feet in length. New floating docks provide guests with fresh water, telephone and cable TV. A well stocked liquor store is also on the premises. Gas up at the New Diesel fuel dock. A ship repair yard is also on the property that is capable of lifting boats up to 60 feet in length. The Running Mon is also considered a port of entry with customs and immigration clearance on sight.
